| Der GrüVe 2006 ist Gold wert! Prachtvolle Präsentation des GrüVe® Nr. 20 Der junge Grüne Veltliner-Gold Am 15. Dezember 2006 feierten mehr als 200 geladene Gäste aus Gastronomie, Handel, Kunst, Kultur und Wirtschaft mit dem Weingut Jurtschitsch Sonnhof im Wiener Kunstforum der Bank Austria Creditanstalt das 20-jährige GrüVe-Jubiläum. GrüVe 2006 Worth its Taste in Gold The Fabulous Unveiling of GrüVe® Nr. 20 On December 15th, 2006, more than 200 guests from the worlds of gastronomy, trade, art, culture and economy came together at the Kunstforum der Bank Austria Creditanstalt in Vienna to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Jurtschitsch Sonnhof winery´s inimitable “GrüVe”. GrüVe This particularly festive occasion was like so many other GrüVe celebrations marked with an interpretation by the renowned artist Christian Ludwig Attersee. But for this year´s special anniversary vintage of GrüVe, the wine´s Attersee-designed label glitters in elegant gold and shiny orange and, for the first time, features cubist elements to signify the beginning of a new successful era. The evening was opened by media guru Martin Traxl, who, as a passionate art and wine lover, has much experience in talking about artists and their wine label creations. Also, the head of the Kunstforum, Ingrid Brugger, underscored in her speech the symbiotic relationship between art and wine. Later, Mr. Traxl was able to coax from the Jurtschitsch brothers, Edwin, Karl and Paul, some amusing anecdotes regarding the outstanding development of Austria´s best known Grüner Veltliner. And of course, all ears were peeled when Christian Ludwig Attersee himself spoke about his latest GrüVe label masterpiece. But the absolute highlight came when Attersee´s artwork, which had been draped for suspense, was unveiled. The anticipation and thrilled excitement was felt all the way to the last table of the Kunstforum´s “Tresorraum”, in which the event was held. Following the unveiling, Edwin Jurtschitsch gave to Christian Ludwig Attersee a double magnum bottle of GrüVe, which featured the golden 2006 vintage label, of course. In addition to the latest Attersee artwork, all of his GrüVe labels dating back to the first one he created - for the 1986 vintage - adorned the walls of the “Tresorraum”. Each of the labels mesmerized the guests not only by their beauty, but also because of their super size: 130 x 180 cm. The celebration continued until well after midnight, with the Jurtschitsch family and Christian Ludwig Attersee proudly reflecting on their fruitful 20 years of working together. Right from the beginning, they have been in complete harmony in their passion for Grüner Veltliner, which has gone from being barely known to the highly sought-after treasure it is today. And the result the Jurtschitsch brothers creating a light, fresh quality wine whose bottle label is created specially by Mr. Attersee is like a fairy tale: a Grüner Veltliner awakened by the kiss of a Prince. The weather conditions in the vineyards during 2006 certainly were challenging to the hosts of this special anniversary event. But thanks to a wonderful fall climate, those challenges were mastered perfectly. And now the wine is here! With so many facettes, the Jurtschitsch GrüVe® is set to continue on its path of a long, rich life - to the 21st edition, and beyond!
